What a crazy Tuesday! what with the government shutdown, plus three of our company employees either calling in sick / coming in late / caught up at court, I was definitely slammed! Good thing I decided to dress up extra nice (albeit, extra short) today. I’d been on the look-out for a nice dark velvet blazer to be my warm clothes on my trip to Paris next week. Imagine my supreme delight when I found this lovely black velvet blazer at Thrift Trader in North Park this past Sunday!
The best part is that it was only $5.99 ! 😀 I immediately snatched it up, and tried to hold out wearing it until Paris. But it was just sooo nice, hence me wearing it today with a red (and really short!) dress.
One could say that the dress is really too short for the corporate world, and I would say so too!
I kept accessories simple with my multi-hued H&M flats and a pearl necklace with a white ribbon:
