Of Stripes and Florals

One of the fun elements of starting a new personal lifestyle blog is the planning part aka “Where oh Where can I take my daily pictures around my corporate office building without too much fuss????” You see, I get up really early and get to work at the saintly hour of 7:30 am. This means I am currently and creatively trying to figure out my pic-taking schedule on my working days. Thank goodness for awesome co-workers who are willing to help me out during lunch break / coffee breaks!
But enough about my “blogging logistic” problems! Where are my pictures, you ask?
The first (hopefully permanent) spot that I found to be picture-background worthy was the sidewalk near our office parking lot. Slightly secluded, but with enough greenery for great pictures:

Today’s outfit is a prime example of my love for mixing and matching. The crisp lines and whiteness of the button down men’s business shirt contrast quite nicely with the floral-printed skirt which I got on sale from Charlotte Russe. I love the length of the skirt plus how the floral pattern is dark enough to pass muster in a corporate setting.

Today was definitely a windy day, another element which I didn’t account for when taking pictures outside. I will be forever thankful for digital cameras that can take dozens of pictures so you can sort them out later!

With all the stripes and florals, I decided my accessories should be kept to a minimum: a simple double strand of pearls, black velvet flats, and my trusty Bottega Veneta hobo bag.

Whelp, lunch break is over, time to get back to work 😀
